Historic Preservation Plan for Centennial Hill

This comprehensive historic preservation plan exemplifies AJ’s social justice and community focused approach to planning. Together with N.C. Jones, they created a strategy that goes beyond preserving the physical environment and centers the conservation of a sense of time and place, community character, and culture. The Centennial Hill neighborhood in Montgomery, AL is rich in Black Heritage and was a thriving Black neighborhood home to a wholesome community. See how AJ and N.C. Jones integrated community input and historic preservation strategies to do justice to this neighborhood.
